Dr. Amy Thompson
Dr. Amy brings a unique blend of engineering expertise, advanced technology, and compassionate care to dentistry. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and began her career in the aerospace industry in Huntsville, working on projects such as the Delta IV rocket program and micro-gravity experiments for the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle. Her background in engineering, combined with a lifelong passion for learning and a desire to help others, ultimately led her to the UAB School of Dentistry where she earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Outside of the office, Dr. Amy enjoys reading, crafting, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with her husband, children and friends. She is an active member of the Madison Rotary Club and the First Baptist Church of Huntsville and is deeply committed to giving back through dental mission work. Dr. Amy has provided care to underserved communities around the world, including in Ukraine, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras. She is proud to serve her patients with a thoughtful, technology-driven approach while building lasting relationships within the local community and around the world.
